Overview

A magnetic contact for the doors and windows that open. The 24 mm gap tolerance means it still reads correctly after a season of the frame moving, and the rear tamper switch reports if someone tries to lift the transmitter off the frame.

Cheapest way to start

Two sets for under $25. I covered every ground-floor window for less than a takeaway dinner.

Mind the gap

24 mm is fine on timber frames. On a warped shed door I had to pack the magnet out with a shim.

Tamper switch earns its place

The rear tamper switch caught a window being forced from the outside before the contact even opened.

Questions about this product

Still unsure? Ask us
How many sensors can the hub handle?

The gateway pairs up to 30 sensors. The spec table lists supported types; the door/window, PIR, glass-break and smoke kits all connect to the same hub.

Do I need a monitoring contract?

No. The siren and strobe are self-contained. If you want 24-hour monitoring, the hub can connect to a monitoring service, but it is optional.

How loud is the siren?

The siren is 110 dB at one metre, loud enough to be heard across a street in normal conditions.

Can I extend the system later?

Yes. Add sensors one at a time from the hub settings; the quote cart makes mixing and matching parts easy.
